THRILL SEEKER COMICS ANTHOLOGY #1

It all starts here with the premiere first issue of THRILL SEEKER COMICS ANTHOLOGY™ by writer/artist Scott McCullar. At the center of these two-fisted tales is the Dust Bowl era vigilante known as THE YELLOW JACKET: MAN OF MYSTERY™, who pursued by lawmen, is conscripted into THE STAR-SPANGLED SQUADRON™ to battle Axis Powers during the outbreak of World War Two alongside the EMERALD MANTIS™ and SACRED SCARAB™. Also, meet the dame detective MS. TITTENHURST: FINDER OF LOST THINGS™ in a brand-new story leading up to her first case. THRILL SEEKER COMICS was first released just over twenty years ago in the acclaimed indie comic series SHOOTING STAR COMICS ANTHOLOGY™ as one of the regular features in every issue. Now rebooted, THRILL SEEKER COMICS returns in this relaunch with all-new stories alongside reprints with two classic original tales that have been remastered.

Cartoonist Mo welcomes us into the hustle and bustle of the roaring 40s where noir superheroes take on nefarious threats in his ‘Thrill Seeker’ Comics Anthology.

The first short, ‘Rendezvous at the Lost Temple of Khepri’, depicts a seemingly unwinnable scenario as heroes Sacred Scarab, Yellow Jacket, and Emerald Mantis are being held captive by Nazis determined to unlock the hidden powers of an Egyptian artifact. One will be sacrificed but who will it be and how many of them will walk out of this predicament alive and well?

The second short, ‘A Midnight Clear’, stars Ms. Tittenhurst, and follows a day in her life as a local detective’s secretary. A secretary who doesn’t pull any punches and is just as capable as running a Detective Agency as any man.

The third short, ‘Beekeeper,’ follows Yellow Jacket and his attempts to get a new start. But his new life as a beekeeper gets interrupted by local gangsters who threaten the very farm he works at.

The fourth and final short, ‘Tally-Ho,’ reunites Yellow Jacket, Emerald Mantis, Sacred Scarab and introduces newcomer The Bold Bowman. As the four of them rush to save Marian from an evil Indian god. Will they make it in time?

Throughout this anthology you’ll become enamoured with McCullar’s artwork which feels like Will Eisner’s ‘The Spirit.’ With an obsession on pre-mid century heroes and what they could look like.
