The First

Surrounded by enemies and unrest, the Israelites shift their faith away from religious leaders and onto Saul – the first chosen King of Israel. Spurned and threatened, the scheming High Priests name a ‘divine’ royal heir – David, a young musician. Will Sovereign and successor clash? Will they collaborate? Or perhaps fall in love? Meanwhile, Philistine enemy troops prepare to descend upon the young country.
